26639 Murgaš is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 1325.9846771 days (3.63 years).[1]

The asteroid was discovered on May 5, 2000 by Slovak astronomer Peter Kušnirák at Ondřejov Observatory. It is named after Slovak priest and inventor Jozef Murgaš.[2]
